Set at Pinehill Pavilion in Youngsville, NC—the same venue where they will say “I do” later this year—this session felt extra special. Barry and Alexus’ engagement session was nothing short of beautiful, heartfelt, and full of love. It wasn’t just about capturing their love story; it was about coming full circle in a place that now holds even more meaning for their journey ahead.

High School Sweethearts??? Well Kind of…..

Their love story began back in high school, in the most classic way—in the cafeteria. A mutual friend introduced them, and it wasn’t long before they discovered they had the same elective class: Law & Justice. One day, fate partnered them together for a class project, and just like that, a friendship started to bloom.

Life led them down separate paths after graduation, but they always kept in touch. That strong foundation of friendship never faded, and eventually, they found their way back to each other. What started as a high school connection evolved into a lasting relationship, and now they’re preparing to become husband and wife. Some things in life is worth the wait. This was one of them.

Rain Or Shine…

Despite a bit of unexpected rain during our session, Barry and Alexus embraced the moment with grace and laughter. The soft drizzle added a romantic, cozy touch to their portraits, and the lush greenery of Pinehill Pavilion looked even more vibrant in the rain-kissed light. A little rain will never stop this love story from happening.

Capturing their connection, playfulness, and deep love was an honor. I cannot wait to return to Pinehill Pavilion to photograph their wedding day—this time, as they exchange vows and begin the next chapter of their story, right where it all came full circle.
